You Me At Six's third album Sinners Never Sleep digipak has a dark tone and colour to it which represents the angry, emotional songs on the album. Also the genre of the bands music is rock/alternative so the digipak colours represents this and also creates a tone/mood for the songs on the album.
The front cover of the album is of a man holding an I.D. board that would be used in a mug shot. But instead of a person's information it has the bands name and also the title of the album. The mug shot front cover also links in with the bands first song on the album 'Loverboy' as that video has the lead singer in a room while being questioned by two policemen as the lead singer sings the song and the policemen mime the song at certain points. Also from the black nails and the black tank top the man is wearing on the front that he is a punk and that punk look is present through the digipak because of the dark colours and the picture on the inside photo of the band.
This is the inside of the digipak and has fingerprints of each band member which then again represents the criminal aspect of the song 'Loverboy' and that the band members have committed some crime to have their fingerprints taken. Also the idea of putting the fingerprints into the CD digipak will make the fans of You Me At Six seem closer to the band as they have the fingerprints of the band members and also something that belongs to the band members which makes it more personal for the fans.
Above is a book that contains the lyrics of all the You Me At Six's songs on the album which will also be a good idea for the fans. Also the photo on the front of the booklet is of the band and the photo uses low key lighting to reflect the rest of the digipak and also the criminal aspect of the song 'Loverboy' and the video. It also reflects the angry and emotional songs that are on the album. It also has a low angle shot which makes the band look like they are towering above everyone else. Also the two CDs also fit in with the dark and punky tone of the digipak as they are black and white.
In the digipak there is also 5 individual photos of each band member in the style of a mug shot holding an I.D. board like in the picture that is the front cover of the digipak. This is also a good idea for the girl fans of You Me At Six because they would like to have a photo of one of the band members on their wall if not all of them not only because they like the album and the songs but also because they like the band members for whatever reason and this will be a good selling point to the female fans.
The overall digipak is a good and creative digipak that all fans of You Me At Six will want to have especially with all the creative parts that fit in with the 'Loverboy' song and also the individual "mug shots" of each band member which will be a good selling point for the female fans. The digipak has lots of good selling points which will help them to sell loads to fans especially female fans.
