Final cut of our music video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbi8a8jo3Xw&feature=youtu.be

Above is the link to our final cut of our music video. I tried to upload the final cut in this post but for some reason blogger would not let me do this, so I had to upload it to YouTube instead.

In our final cut we have included the advice from audience feedback we got from our rough cut. We decided to include their advice because that is what the audience wanted to see and also its what they believe will make the music video stronger. Seb and I agreed with the advice and feedback they gave us and hopefully it has improved and made our music video stronger.

First draft of our evaluation

This is the first draft of our evaluation, the majority of the questions are either finished or almost finished with just a little bit more to add. For the last question, "How did you use technologies in the research and planning, construction and evaluation stages?" we decided we will present this in a voiceover, with a video playing on screen showing what is being spoken about. (Seb is doing the voiceover) We decided we will do this because it shows us using a different technology to present our answer and also ties in with the last question as it counts as using a technology in the evaluation stage.

The evaluation question about the audience feedback, we will record some people telling us what they thought about final cut music video and this will also count as presenting an answer to a question using a different technology.

Audience feedback

In our media lesson last Wednesday, Seb and I showed the class our final cut of our music video. Now having showed them both our rough cut and final cut they were able to give us some feedback about what has improved in their opinion compared to the rough cut. I think the majority of the feedback was positive, which reflects the fact that we took the feedback they gave us after they watched our rough cut, which we then added to our music video to create our final cut.

With this feedback we received last week, we are going to include this in our evaluation as this ties in with one of the questions. In the evaluation we will say if the feedback was helpful to us or not, if it helped us to improve our music video from rough cut to final cut etc.

As our music video's narrative is not in chronological order, one of our questions was did you understand the narrative? We decided to ask this question to see if they understood the narrative by piecing together the narrative as the music video is not in chronological order. I think most people from the class understood the narrative even if it wasn't obvious to them at the start of the video, but the more you watch the music video, the clearer the narrative becomes.
